Role DescriptionThis part-time Painter role at Renewed Tubs is a hybrid position based in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and customer communication as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing surfaces, applying primers and coatings, and performing detailed spray painting and brush work on tubs, tile, counters, and related fixtures. The Painter will follow company standards and safety procedures, maintain clean and organized work areas, and ensure high-quality finishes that meet customer expectations.
The role also involves coordinating with the team on job timelines, reporting progress, and occasionally assisting with estimates or project photos for marketing and documentation purposes.
- Ability to work with various paints and coatings, including mixing, matching, and applying products according to manufacturer and company specifications.
- Skills in painting and decorating, with attention to detail, finish quality, and clean lines on residential kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
- Experience in general painting techniques, including surface preparation, masking, sanding, and cleanup.
- Proficiency in spray painting applications, including operating spray equipment safely and achieving consistent coverage.
- Understanding of basic safety practices, including ventilation, PPE use, and handling chemicals and coatings responsibly.
- Reliable transportation to job sites within the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area and ability to work flexible part-time hours.
- Strong time management, ability to work independently or with a small team, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Previous experience in residential refinishing, painting, or related trades is an asset; formal trade training or certification is beneficial but not required.
