The University of Calgary is seeking a Full-time Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic within its Facilities Management team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC systems, ensuring energy-efficient and reliable service across the Residence buildings.

Your role will require troubleshooting of complex systems and independent problem-solving in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain HVAC and Refrigeration systems

• Develop and analyze BMS reports for system optimization

• Supervise contractors and oversee compliance with university standards

• Coordinate multi-trade collaborations for HVAC projects

• Lead troubleshooting and repairs of pneumatic and electronic controls

Requirements:

• Journeyman Red Seal Refrigeration trade certificate

• Minimum 8 years of field experience in HVAC mechanics

• Proficient with BMS automation platforms

• Knowledge of building codes and regulations

• Strong background in customer service and technical communication
