Hecla Mining Company is seeking Underground Mine Trainers to join their team at the Hecla Keno Hill mine site. These professionals will lead hands-on training for underground lateral development and production miners, ensuring safety and operational excellence in a narrow vein hard rock mining environment. The ideal candidates are experienced miners with a passion for training and a strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

This is a fly-in fly-out role with a rotational schedule and comprehensive benefits.

• Up to $45.39 per hour plus eligibility for an hourly bonus of up to $40 per hour
• Fly-in fly-out (FIFO) rotation: 14 days on, 14 days off
• Camp accommodations and meals provided while on site

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 5+ years of underground mining experience
• 5+ years operating single boom jumbos, CMAC bolters, jack legs/stopers, scissor decks, and muckers
• Yukon Permanent First Line Supervisor Certificate or ability to obtain
• Valid Yukon Blasting certificate or ability to obtain
• Mine rescue certification highly regarded
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
• Criminal Record Clearance
• Pre-employment testing (drug & alcohol, blood lead, audiogram)
• Ability to work in extreme weather and challenging underground conditions

• Experience with “Train the Trainer” and a strong desire to train others
• Experience with narrow vein cut and fill mining in a fast-paced production setting
