This role focuses on shop-based fabrication of pressure pipe spools for industrial projects. You will use advanced welding processes to build high-quality pipe spools that support various upcoming field jobs, with occasional opportunities to assist with minor tie-ins in the field. The position is ideal for a journeyman welder who is mechanically inclined, confident working with a range of pipe materials and schedules, and eager to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.

• Perform shop fabrication of pressure pipe spools for a variety of industrial projects.
• Execute high-quality welds using SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and other relevant welding processes.
• Work with thin-walled stainless steel and pipe up to heavier schedule sizes, ensuring proper fit-up and weld integrity.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and drawings to complete fabrication and installation tasks accurately.
• Assist with minor field tie-ins when required, supporting installation and mechanical work on site.
• Contribute to construction, mechanical, installation, and general labor tasks as needed to support project completion.
• Troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues, adjusting techniques and setups to meet project specifications.
• Support industrial welding operations in a shop environment, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate closely with forepersons and other tradespeople, participating in one-on-one development and coaching.
• Operate relevant tools and equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in equipment repair and fabrication activities related to mining, drilling, and material handling equipment when required.
• Assist with warehousing and production install activities, including conveyors and material handling equipment installation as needed.
• Follow project timelines and shift schedules, including overtime when available, to meet production and project deadlines.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, professionalism, and a willingness to learn new skills and work on new projects.

• Journeyman Welder certification.
• Active B Pressure ticket.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work on mechanical installations.
• Experience working with thin-walled stainless steel and pipe up to heavier schedule sizes.
• GTAW experience on stainless and other applicable materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for industrial and construction projects.
• Experience in industrial welding and fabrication in a shop environment.
• Capability to perform troubleshooting on welding and fabrication tasks.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with tradespeople.
• Coachability and openness to constructive feedback.
• High level of motivation in the welding trade and enthusiasm for learning new skills.

• B Pressure experience of 1+ year is an asset.
• Hydraulic system experience, including repairing and building equipment for mining and drilling, is an advantage.
• Experience in warehousing and production installation environments.
• Conveyor installation experience.
• Experience installing material handling equipment.
• Experience operating scissor lifts, zoom booms, and sit-down forklifts.
• Comfort working in industrial construction and mechanical installation settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including being a team player with no ego.
• Ability to accept constructive criticism and apply coaching to improve performance.

This position is based primarily in an industrial shop environment, focused on fabrication work for upcoming field projects. You will work around welding equipment, pressure pipe, material handling systems, and various industrial tools and machinery. The role follows a 6x12 schedule for the next two weeks, with a standard start time of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and overtime paid after 8 hours in a day.
