Avalanche Technicians will execute the ski area’s avalanche safety plan and report directly to the Snow Safety Supervisor. Your tasks will involve intensive data collection on snowpack and weather, timely avalanche control, and essential communication with the public and team members about safety conditions and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out avalanche control measures on-site
• Maintain and operate necessary equipment and signage
• Provide first response treatment to injured guests
• Accurately document all avalanche data and reports
• Participate in emergency response procedures and training
Requirements:
• CAA Operations Level 1 certification required
• Experience with avalanche control as Blaster’s Assistant
• 80-hour Advanced First Aid Certificate or equivalent
• Valid BLS CPR certification needed
• Proven skiing ability on challenging alpine terrain
