Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Tradesperson/Manufacturing is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing both mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment. This role ensures machinery, equipment, and electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional with expertise in both mechanical and electrial disciplines, capable of working independently or as part of a maintenance team

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical (Millwright) Duties:

  • Install, assemble, and align machinery and mechanical systems according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions promptly.
  • Fabricate, modify, and repair machine components as needed.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment safely during installations or repairs.

Electrical Duties:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, motors, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, including machinery and building systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and departments to ensure minimal production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of mechanical and electrical work completed.
  • Ensure all work follows company safety policies, regulatory standards, and local codes.
