As an Apprentice Plumber / Gas Fitter, you’ll gain hands‑on experience working alongside experiences Journey persons, learning the trade while installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems.

What You’ll Do
Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in both multi‑family residential and commercial buildings
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (2nd to 4th year)
Troubleshoot plumbing issues and learn to diagnose system failures.
Follow safety protocols and company procedures on job sites
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
Attend required technical training and work towards Red Seal certification.
Other duties as required
Ability to adhere to company guidelines for installations, quality control procedures & maintaining our expectations for quality workmanship
Required to complete Field Level Hazard Assessments daily
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Registered apprentice with the Alberta Industry Training (AIT) or willing to register
Previous plumbing or construction experience is an asset, but is not required
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
Willingness to learn and take direction
Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Strong commitment to workplace safety and following regulations
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and climbing
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Working Conditions
This role is primarily conducted at construction or renovation sites, which may include both commercial and multi‑family locations. Frequent travel to job sites within Calgary and surrounding area is required.
