Elevate your mechanic career with SOUTHLAND Transportation as a Journeyperson Mechanic. This role provides a unique blend of shop work and field service, all while maintaining a balanced work schedule.
Your responsibility will be to ensure the ongoing maintenance and repair of SOUTHLAND's school buses, making full use of your strong diagnostic skills and experience. With ongoing training opportunities and a focus on safety, this role positions you as a key player in the maintenance of modern, alternative fuel vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute regular bus maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly
• Carry out CVIP Inspections and ensure compliance
• Respond quickly to breakdowns both in-office and on the field
• Maintain precise documentation of repairs and service
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Ticket in Automotive or Heavy Duty
• 2-5 years of relevant mechanic experience
• Must possess personal tools necessary for the job
• Valid Driver's License required
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
