Our client is a respected custom home builder specializing in high-quality, detail-oriented residential construction. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and client experience, they are looking to add a Warranty Technician to their team.

The Warranty Technician will be responsible for managing homeowner warranty requests from initial inspection through to completion. This individual will act as a key point of contact for homeowners, trades, and internal construction teams, ensuring warranty items are assessed, communicated, and resolved to a high standard.

The successful candidate will have strong residential construction knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to troubleshoot issues and determine the appropriate course of action.

This opportunity is available to candidates based in Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, Strathmore, Crossfield, Balzac, Langdon and High River.

• Respond to and manage homeowner warranty requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct warranty inspections and identify deficiencies or areas requiring attention.
• Diagnose construction-related issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with trades and subcontractors to ensure warranty work is completed properly and within required timelines.
• Follow up on outstanding warranty items and maintain accountability through to completion.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners throughout the warranty process.
• Maintain accurate records of warranty requests, inspections, repairs, and completed work.
• Identify recurring construction issues and communicate trends or concerns to the construction team.
• Ensure completed work meets the company’s standards for quality and craftsmanship.
• Perform minor repairs where appropriate, including small drywall, paint, caulking, and finishing repairs.
• Assist with troubleshooting issues related to building performance, water intrusion, exterior finishes, and the building envelope.
• Ensure warranty work is handled in accordance with Alberta New Home Warranty requirements.
• Represent the company professionally while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

• Previous experience as a Warranty Technician, Site Superintendent, Construction Coordinator, or similar residential construction role.
• Strong knowledge of custom home construction and high-end residential renovations.
• Excellent understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and finishing standards.
• Strong knowledge of exterior building envelopes, including common causes of water intrusion and building performance issues.
• Working knowledge of Alberta New Home Warranty requirements and processes.
• Highly organized, accountable, and capable of managing multiple warranty items simultaneously.
• Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners and managing potentially difficult or sensitive situations.
• Ability to complete minor drywall, paint, caulking, and finish repairs.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to residential job sites as required.
