Position Summary:

Are you interested in becoming a Service Technician or have experience in the downstream maintenance, electrical, calibration and construction industry? Do you have knowledge of tank rental and mobile cardlock solutions? Well then BarW is the place for you! Reporting to the Service Manager you will be an integral part of our team performing electronic and mechanical repairs. Working closely with our customers and applying BarW processes and regulations you will conduct in-house and on-site repairs to our customers’ businesses.

Our technicians specialize in the Retail/Commercial Gas Stations, Cardlock/Bulk Petroleum sites, Carwashes, and Commercial/Industrial Electrical Services for Maintenance and Construction in Western Canada, Yukon & NWT.

This is position can be located either in Red Deer or Calgary.

• (In Training) Perform electronic and mechanical repairs including on-site and in-house repairs of equipment and technology.
• (In Training) Installation, repair and preventative maintenance of all fuel dispensing and related equipment.
• (in Training) Repair carwash operating equipment at various stations.
• Maintain customer relationships by managing allocated calls to improve service and decrease costs. This includes planning for adequate tools and equipment necessary for efficient work.
• Contributing to new ideas for operational and technical improvements to existing equipment and technology.
• Accountable for completing all required documentation correctly and in a timely manner.
• Ensure safe practices are being followed in accordance with Health and Safety policies and practices.

• High school diploma.
• Experience in mechanical and petroleum troubleshooting would be an asset.
• Will be required to complete and be certified in CPCA PM1 Training.
• Fluent in operation of FSM mobile software operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge about computerized machinery, as well as be efficient with hand tools.
• Proven strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Valid Class 5 license. Clean Drivers Abstract is required.
• Willingness and interest to pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance performance.
• Ability to maintain a strong technical knowledge of assigned equipment through on the job training and training programs.
