Position: Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Generator)

What You’ll Be Doing (Duties and Responsibilities)   Maintain and repair 15kw to 130

Kw generators & climate control equipment (mixture of field and shop work).
Inspect motor in operation, and test automotive systems and generator components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of generator systems including fuel system, engine, drive train, emission control and exhaust, electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized repair equipment.
Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications.
Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups.
Review work orders and discuss work with your supervisor.
Advise customers on work performed, general generator condition and future repair requirements.

What You’ll Bring to the Team (Qualifications and Requirements)   Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician with generator and/or construction heater experience preferred.
Class 5 license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points) is required.
Class 3 license is considered an asset.
Available to work overtime when required.
Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
