Signals and Communications Operations Specialist

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Signals & Communications Systems, this full-time role focuses on recruitment within the Signals & Communication Construction team and supports the Apprentice Program. Collaborate with leaders and the Technical Training team to refine onboarding and training processes while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Your expertise in signals construction and maintenance allows for effective staffing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management to assess hiring needs

• Facilitate S&C training in partnership with technical teams

• Maintain accurate S&C position bulletins

• Conduct field evaluations of Apprentices and Maintainers

• Monitor apprenticeship budgets and execution strategies

Requirements:

• 7 to 10 years in Signal Construction and Maintenance

• Strong knowledge of CPKC S&C critical documents

• Valid driver’s license and Canadian passport

• Proficiency in RailDOCS and Microsoft Office

• Strong communication skills in instructions and directions
