What we need:The Manager Accountingis afirst-level managerthatoverseesthe day-to-day accounting functions and financial reporting activities ofan accounting team. Thisrolerequires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
What you’ll do:- Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance by verifying the accuracy of methods and controls according to GAAP.
- ManageSAP integrity and ensure the accuracy of transactions performed with the receiving and payment of goods in the accounting system.
- Overseemonth end closing processes: journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, systems interface, inter-company balancing, andallocationsinventory control.
- Ensure that clerks and technicians are performing their duties properly and efficiently.
- Prepare yearly budgets for operations by gathering and preparing the documentation.
- Lead monthly variance review meetings with managementandpresent monthly variances to management for them to be sufficiently informed of financial data.
- Manage the global reconciliation tool to include working collaboratively with the segments to ensure all account reconciliations are prepared and reviewed monthly.
- Manage the lease process to ensure policies and procedures are being followed globally.
- Supervise less experienced team members, review the work and analysis performed by those team members, and provide guidance on more complex transactions and reconciliations.
- Serveas audit liaison for both Internal and External auditors and manage SOX activities for the Corporate Accounting Group.
- Identify areas of improvement within the accounting department to increase efficiencies and develop streamlined accounting processes, implementing solutions accordingly.
- Perform otherdutiesas necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in related fieldor equivalent education and/or experience.
- 6-8 years of relevant experienceor equivalent education and/or experience.
- 1-3 years of management experience.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth ofexpertiseinownjob discipline or field.
- Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
- High levelof integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player,and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
