Process Engineer

Process Engineer Position

Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement in the Twisting and Heatset departments.

• Passion for continuous improvement and the desire and ability to lead internal teams to drive results
• Build trusting relationships throughout the plant
• Lead Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma processes and projects
• Drive improvement in equipment reliability
• Lead EITs as necessary
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with attention to detail
• Proven ability to work on several projects simultaneously and under tight schedules
• Knowledge of data collection and interpretation;
  Black Belt training preferred
• Experience in project management, associated principles, and tools preferred
• Tenacity to accomplish tasks, follow-through, and meet deadlines
• Analyze process and performance parameters to improve product efficiency and output
• Manage implementation of process changes
• Investigate processing and quality problems and implement data-driven solutions
• Act as the Waste Champion for driving waste improvement projects within the facility
• Provide engineering and troubleshooting support to all departments as needed
• Perform all job duties using safe work methods
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager as needed

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Engineering preferred
• Must possess good organizational, computer, analytical, and leadership skills
• Prefer experience in yarn processes
• Prefer candidate with Six Sigma Black Belt
• Prefer candidate with mechanical aptitude

8‑hour non‑rotating shift, hours fall to in punch day, observed calendar, shift starts AM.
