Process Engineer
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement in the Twisting and Heatset departments.
Responsibilities:
* The successful candidate must have a passion for continuous improvement and the desire and ability to lead internal teams to drive results.
* Build trusting relationships throughout the plant.
* Lead Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma process and projects.
* Drive improvement in equipment reliability. Lead EITs as necessary.
* Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with attention to detail.
* Proven ability to work on several projects simultaneously and under tight schedules.
* Knowledge of data collection and interpretation;
Black Belt training preferred.
* Experience in project management, associated principles, and tools are preferred.
* Tenacity to accomplish tasks, follow-through, and meet deadlines.
* Analyze process and performance parameters to improve product efficiency and output.
* Manage the implementation of any process changes.
* Investigate processing and quality problems and implement data-driven solutions.
* Will act as the Waste Champion for driving waste improvement projects within the facility.
* Provide engineering and troubleshooting support to all departments as needed.
* Perform all job duties using safe work methods.
* Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager as needed

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required;
Engineering preferred
* Must possess good organizational, computer, analytical, and leadership skills
* Prefer experience in yarn processes
* Prefer candidate with Six Sigma Black Belt
* Prefer candidate with mechanical aptitude
Work Shift
8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
