Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Cloud Architect for one of their clients within the manufacturing industry. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining modern data solutions in the Azure ecosystem. Your work will span data ingestion, transformation, and storage—supporting data lakes, warehouses, and data marts.
You’ll develop and refine data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DBT, and other cloud‑native tools, while also contributing to CI/CD workflows within Azure Dev Ops. Collaboration will be central to your day‑to‑day work as you translate business needs into technical designs, build data models, and uphold data quality, governance standards, and performance expectations.
A key part of the role includes monitoring existing pipelines, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing workloads across the Microsoft cloud platform. You’ll also lead data migration initiatives, create and maintain documentation, and support end users working with BI tools such as Power BI.
Beyond technical delivery, this role has a strong strategic component—guiding teams on cloud best practices, ensuring security and compliance, and promoting cost‑efficient cloud usage. You’ll also help advance the organization’s analytics maturity by identifying opportunities for improvement and championing innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Experience- 5+ years of experience building cloud data solutions and pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, DBT, and lakehouse architectures
- 5+ years of data modeling experience (star schema, 3NF) and familiarity with tools like ERWin
- Strong hands‑on background with Spark development and deep knowledge of Spark internals (Spark SQL, Data Frames, execution model, etc.)
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Bitbucket, or Git Hub
- Proficiency with Azure cloud administration, including networking, security, cost management, and monitoring
- Experience using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud
- Experience with data governance solutions such as Microsoft Purview or Databricks Unity Catalog
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
- Experience working with SAP ERP data sources
- Exposure to real‑time streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric
- Background in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or similar data‑heavy operational domains
