Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and procurement best practices.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to execute sourcing activities, including supplier identification, selection, and negotiation.
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes, ensuring optimal cost savings, efficiency, and supplier performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure supply chain reliability and resolve any performance or quality issues.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to proactively identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and contractual agreements.
- Provide regular reports and analysis to senior leadership on sourcing performance and project status.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement, product management, sales, and finance to ensure sourcing activities meet organizational needs and financial targets.
- Develop and manage the sourcing budget, ensuring category sales targets and operating income targets are met.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sourcing effectiveness and supplier performance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of sourcing processes, contracts, and supplier performance metrics for transparency and accountability.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, innovations, and technologies in sourcing and procurement.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 6-8 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects of varying size across multiple suppliers.
- Strong problem solving skills to address issues as they arise and maintain project timelines.
- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in one or two subject matter areas (e.g., textiles and/or plastics manufacturing).
- Expert recognition cross-functionally within one or two subject matter areas.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Suite of products.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
- Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead. May be required to act in senior role, providing task related advice and direction to junior team members.
