Waterjet Operator - 2nd shift

WATERJET OPERATOR I - 2nd shift (3PM - 11PM) Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and oversee automated processes to print mat products.
• Perform all activities related to startup, continuous operation, and shut down of automatic machines using operational software.
• Perform frequent visual and manual inspections to ensure proper operational functioning.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions to expedite problem resolution and maintain production levels.
• Observe continuous operation to ensure products meet specifications and prevent or detect jams or malfunctions, adjusting as necessary.
• Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects to ensure conformance to specifications and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery for efficient operations (housekeeping).
• Record stops in production and provide explanations for stops to supervisor and technical experts for efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Responsible for lifting 30-40 lb throughout the duration of the shift.

• Ability to comprehend written and verbal communication in English.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing of goods.
• Experience controlling operations of equipment or systems.
• Experience monitoring gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machines are working properly.
• Experience conducting quality control analysis, tests, and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Experience with operation and control of manufacturing equipment.
