Job Description Purpose

Assure efficient manufacturing of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

• Primary:
  Perorating Operation, side cutting Operations, and Operator Assisting.
• Secondary:
  Operator back-up and general production. Material Handling.

• Operates perforation equipment.
• Inspects finished product quality before performing operations.
• Operates controls for perforation robot cell and monitors robot/perforator operations.
• Complete operations to specifications and ensure paperwork meets company standards.
• Assembles/stacks rolls per customer or in-house requirements.
• Obtains packaging material to complete order and prepare for shipment.
• Completes quality control procedures including roll unwind, perforation inspection, diameter inspection, perforation centering, and perforation alignment.
• Operates PIT to transport materials.
• Completes all record-keeping requirements including printing, labeling, stretch-wrapping.
• Sets up a line independently.
• Uses JD Edwards scanning equipment to log production and record inventory transactions.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain work area per hygiene requirements.
• Ensures all BRC Food Safety Standards are followed.
• Operates Side Cutter.
• Sets up cutter to product specifications and ensures accuracy and quality according to work order specification.
• Provides assistance to operator(s) when running particular products.

• Fill-in/Relief Operator (fully trained) – cross trained to provide fill-in support for extruder and/or pelletizer.
• Performs general duties such as plant housekeeping, clean-up, or other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Completes all work in a safe manner.
• Follows all safety rules.
• Complies with operating procedures and quality standards.
• All other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with extrusion experience preferred.
• Ability to adhere to Amcor's Safety, Health, and Environmental Vision, Policy, and Standards.
• Ability to read and write to complete required forms and verify quality products are produced.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, and face mask.
• Ability to handle and resolve problems.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, days or nights for 12 or more hours.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, for extended periods multiple times per day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be punctual and on time at line.
• Must be able to obtain LOTO certification.
• Ability to read a ruler to 1/8" or tape measure and gauge caliper device.
• Basic math skills.
