Job Title:General Production Worker / Forklift Operator
Job Description
This role involves operating a sit-down forklift and performing a variety of production, assembly, and general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment. You will support material handling, packing, and machine operation to keep production running smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities- Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, stacking, and staging products in designated areas.
- Support production lines by supplying materials and removing completed products as needed.
- Perform basic assembly and production tasks according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Assist with machine operating activities, such as feeding materials into machines and monitoring basic machine functions.
- Carry out general labor duties, including packing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Use mechanical aptitude to identify simple issues with equipment or materials and report them promptly.
- Accurately follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
- Participate in inventory-related activities, such as moving and organizing stock, as directed.
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic machinery and production processes.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, moving, and handling materials throughout the shift.
- Background in general labor, production, or assembly work.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
- Attention to detail when handling materials, packing products, and supporting inventory-related tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in material handling and packing in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with basic machine operation and monitoring in a production setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a production team and take direction well.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing production needs.

JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calhoun, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
