Job Description: $15,000 Sign on Bonus - for eligible candidates
Schedule: 7p-7a - 3x12hr shifts + rotating weekends
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations to gather patient history and vital signs, identifying physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment data, setting SMART goals in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, including oral, intravenous, and intramuscular forms, and perform necessary medical procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy, ensuring accurate and safe execution.
- Provide patient and family education about health conditions, treatments, and self-care practices, developing and delivering tailored educational materials and programs, and offering discharge instructions and follow-up care plans.
- Advocate for patient health and safety by acting as a liaison between patients and the healthcare system, protecting patient rights and confidentiality, and securing necessary resources to improve patient outcomes.
- Administers all types of medications correctly per age group for all populations served according to policy.
- Demonstrates proficient technical skills and operational knowledge of all equipment used on the unit.
- Performs daily rotational task assignment as directed.
- Supervises Nursing Assistants in basic nursing functions and ensures safe patient ambulation, transfers, turning, and care according to patient needs.
- Serves as a preceptor as necessary.
- Communication/Collaboration with healthcare team; gather data, assess, reassess, and document care plans; initiate orders as needed.
- Timely collaboration to establish priorities in planning, organizing, and implementing patient care based on nursing assessment.
- Understand emergency codes, infection control, life safety, and age-specific safety concerns; supervise nursing assistants during events.
- Proficient use of Electronic Medical Record for information retrieval and orders.
- Provide education to patient and family from admission through discharge, including discharge instructions and referrals as needed.
- Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills).
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]

- 1+ prior hospital/acute care nursing experience. [Preferred]
