Summary

Responsible for driving customer satisfaction through ensuring domestically produced finished product quality performance meets or exceeds customer expectations by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work directly with the Corporate Quality Director to define and implement quality objectives including KPI’s that align with corporate initiatives.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving supplier performance to Quality Specifications via site and product inspections.
  • Ensure that final product specifications are developed and documented for critical to quality characteristics for such products in manufacturing.
  • Ensure that sampling plans for product audits are developed to reduce the risk to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the Non-conformance and Corrective/Preventative Actions with finished product suppliers.
  • Maintain effective systems for capturing and collecting credits from suppliers as related to non-conforming materials and non-routine product inspections.
  • Drive performance by maintaining and effectively communicating performance metrics to quality standards. (Supplier Scorecards).
  • Act as the reporting body from the customer to the supplier regarding external quality related non-conformances.
  • Manage and direct the Quality Technicians to routinely carry out incoming and outgoing finished product quality inspections.
  • Overtime is/may be required
  • Other duties as assigned
