Quality Control Technician Manager

Location:Calhoun, GA
Employment Type:Full-Time, Permanent
Work Arrangement:Onsite
Pay:$80k-$90 (could be flexible)
Shift:Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Travel:Required; primarily between company facilities (~1-2/month), with occasional customer and potential international travel (1-2x/year)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a
Quality Control Technician Manager
to lead quality control activities at a manufacturing facility in Calhoun, Georgia. This is a hands‑on quality leadership role responsible for maintaining quality standards, overseeing ISO compliance, supporting laboratory testing and chemical analysis, and driving resolution of quality issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
quality control, laboratory testing, chemical manufacturing, and/or ISO quality systems
and be comfortable working closely with operations and production teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Establish, implement, and enforce quality control standards for the manufacturing facility.
  • Manage and maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality systems and compliance.
  • Oversee quality activities across multiple company locations.
  • Conduct and oversee testing of raw materials, in-process materials, samples, and finished products.
  • Perform chemical analyses, measurements, inspections, and other quality assessments.
  • Review and document quality results and ensure reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Investigate quality issues and coordinate defect analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Manage customer complaints through the company’s quality management systems.
  • Communicate quality results and issues with operations and account management teams.
  • Inspect, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and quality-testing equipment.
  • Maintain calibration records and quality documentation in accordance with ISO requirements.
  • Support product launches, pilot batches, and new product development activities.
  • Work closely with global and regional quality teams.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and support safe, reliable operations.
  • Maintain laboratory housekeeping and ensure samples are properly packaged and labeled.
  • Support production activities when needed.
  • Operate plant equipment, including powered industrial trucks, when authorized.
  • Travel to other company facilities, third-party logistics locations, customer sites, and potentially international locations as business needs require.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline preferred.
  • Experience in quality control, quality assurance, laboratory testing, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with
    ISO 9001:2015 quality systems
    is required.
  • SAP experience required
  • Strong understanding of laboratory testing, chemical analysis, measurements, and product specifications.
  • Experience with quality investigations, root-cause analysis, complaints, and corrective actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with supplier quality processes and tools such as
    FMEA, 8D, PPAP, AP/QP
    .
  • Experience managing ISO documentation, audits, calibration programs, complaints, and corrective actions.
  • Chemical manufacturing or specialty chemical/coatings experience.
  • Experience supporting product launches and pilot production.
  • Experience leading or managing quality teams.
