Cashier – Seasonal

Overview

$20.00 per hour – Cashier Seasonal. The primary responsibility of a Seasonal Cashier is to provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout services for customers. Seasonal Cashiers may be required to perform a variety of duties depending on business needs, and it is important to be flexible and willing to work in a team environment. Seasonal Hires will work May 1st – September 8th.

• Execute a clean, friendly, and in‑stock experience for every customer.
• Accurately transact customer items for checkout on POS units and accept all acceptable methods of payment.
• Transact beer purchases in accordance with all state alcoholic beverage laws.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Process exchanges and refunds per company policy.
• Accurately settle shift Pay Point reports.
• Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area.
• Assist in stocking, rotating merchandise, and marking labels.
• Serve as first responder to customer complaints.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
• Work weekends, holidays, and on the store’s busiest days as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Basic math skills.
• Relevant cashier experience preferred.
• Listen to the needs of the customer and communicate clearly.
• Attain mastery knowledge of POS functions.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk on a hard or concrete surface, bend, reach, climb, kneel, squat, and lift up to 40–50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Perform cleaning and light maintenance with prescribed chemicals.
• May involve periodic exposure to all outdoor conditions at all times of day and year.
• Capable of performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
