Stanton is seeking experienced and safety-focused Pole Lift Truck Operators to join our distribution team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement, and loading of carpet rolls using a lift truck equipped with a pole attachment. Candidates with prior experience in the carpet industry and a strong commitment to safety and quality are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate a lift truck equipped with a 12-foot pole attachment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Accurately maneuver the pole into a 4-inch carpet core at floor level and at heights of up to 28 feet.
- Mount and dismount the lift truck regularly to unwrap carpet rolls in preparation for processing or shipment.
- Transport carpet rolls throughout the warehouse using forward and reverse operations while maintaining load stability and awareness of surroundings.
- Load and unload carpet rolls on and off ocean containers and trailers using the pole lift truck.
- Lift and replace propane tanks weighing up to 45 lbs for equipment refueling.
- Operate, or be willing to learn to operate, radio frequency (RF) terminals and scanners integrated with the lift truck for inventory and order accuracy.
- Previous experience operating a pole lift truck within the carpet industry.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to operational procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a warehouse environment.
- Physical ability to meet job demands, including climbing on and off equipment and lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and operational processes.
