CDL Tank Maintenance​/Semi Driver

Darling Ingredients is looking to hire a Tank Maintenance / Semi Driver in the Calhoun GA area. Monday – Friday – Day Shift.

As a Tank Maintenance / Semi Driver, you are responsible for maintaining, installing and removing field equipment at customer locations throughout Georgia, and for transferring new and used containers in inventory. For the Semi side, you collect and transport raw materials from our broad customer base back to facilities and transfer stations. Our customers range in size from small‑scale butchers, grocers, and restaurants up to large‑scale slaughterhouses and food processors.

You manage your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and keep an up‑to‑date backup paper log for compliance. You keep the truck clean, complete a vehicle condition report daily, provide exceptional professional service to all customers and follow all laws and regulations. You love that you get to hit the road for a living while still being home every night.

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Authorized to work in the US
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement
• Good driving record

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Customer service skills

Two years of experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting and experience with truck hydraulics are preferred. Additional qualities: clear communication (verbal and written), high organization, superior time management, composure in difficult situations, adaptability, and teamwork.

All route drivers operate routes in their local area and are home every night. This full‑time Class A CDL truck driving job also offers the opportunity to work regular overtime and support other facilities.
