STARK is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving/Inventory Clerk.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM-4:40PM
Job Type: Full-Time

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving, verifying, documenting, and processing incoming inventory, materials, samples, supplies, and other shipments. This position plays an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that incoming products and materials move efficiently through the receiving process.
In addition to the primary Receiving responsibilities, this position will be cross-trained in other departments and operational functions to provide greater flexibility and coverage across the organization. The successful candidate will be expected to learn and support other departmental processes as needed, allowing the employee to shift priorities and provide assistance where business needs are greatest.
This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable individual who is comfortable learning new processes, working with multiple systems, analyzing information, and adapting to changing priorities.
- Receive incoming inventory, materials, samples, supplies, and other shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and system information.
- Confirm quantities, descriptions, measurements, labels, and other shipment details.
- Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, shortages, overages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately process receiving transactions within applicable company systems.
- Ensure received inventory is properly identified, tagged, labeled, and routed to the appropriate location.
- Maintain accurate receiving documentation and records.
- Communicate receiving discrepancies to the appropriate department or supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist with researching receiving and inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure receiving transactions are completed accurately and within expected time frames.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure received materials are moved to the appropriate location.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient receiving area.
- Follow all established receiving, inventory control, and safety procedures.
- Assist with creating and processing export documentation when required.
- Cross-Training & Department Flexibility
- Participate in structured cross-training with other departments to develop a broader understanding of company operations.
- Learn and perform additional departmental functions outside of the primary Receiving responsibilities.
- Provide temporary or ongoing support to other departments based on workload, staffing, and business priorities.
- Demonstrate the ability to transition between responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
- Provide coverage for other team members during vacations, absences, breaks, or periods of increased workload.
- Develop a working knowledge of processes that directly interact with Receiving, including Inventory, Supply, Warehouse, Purchasing, and other applicable departments.
- Understand how the Receiving function impacts downstream departments and the overall customer experience.
- Remain flexible when daily priorities or business needs change.
- Approach cross-training as an opportunity to expand knowledge, improve teamwork, and increase operational flexibility.
- Maintain the same level of accountability and attention to detail when performing responsibilities outside of the primary Receiving function.
