Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant
Food Manufacturing Company
Woodland Hills, CA (100% onsite)
Compensation & Schedule

9:00 AM - 6:00 PM; overtime required during month-end close (including weekends)

Position Overview
A fast-growing food manufacturing company in Woodland Hills is looking to add either an Accounting Manager and/or Senior Accountant to its team. Both roles are highly hands-on and ideal for professionals who are comfortable in an unstructured, evolving environment and can adapt quickly while wearing multiple hats.
The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function and manage a small team, while the Senior Accountant will work closely alongside an existing senior team member supporting day-to-day accounting and close activities.
Key Responsibilities (both roles)
+ Execute and support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
+ Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data in accordance with GAAP
+ Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis
+ Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
+ Support audit preparation and provide necessary documentation
+ Identify process improvements and help build scalable accounting practices
+ Contribute in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving structure
Additional Responsibilities - Accounting Manager
+ Manage and mentor a team of 4 accounting staff
+ Oversee full close process and review work performed by team
+ Strengthen internal controls and establish scalable processes
+ Partner directly with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
Qualifications - Accounting Manager
+ CPA required
+ 6-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
+ Prior people management experience (managing 3-5+ staff)
+ Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience
+
Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems
+ Manufacturing or food industry experience a plus (hospitality/restaurant exposure helpful but not required)
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, unstructured environment
Qualifications - Senior Accountant
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
+ 3-6+ years of accounting experience
+ Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals
+ ERP experience (Sage Intacct preferred) and strong Excel skills
+ Manufacturing or related industry experience a plus
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, less structured environment and taking on diverse responsibilities
