Senior Accountant

A growing corporate accounting team is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial operations across a multi-entity environment. This role offers strong exposure to the month-end close process, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The position reports to an Assistant Controller and provides opportunities to contribute to operational efficiency, support automation efforts, and participate in projects that enhance the overall accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and analyzing cost centers
  • Assist with close responsibilities related to assigned domestic and international entities
  • Maintain and reconcile key accounts, including accruals, fixed assets, and other assigned areas
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of accounting policies and internal procedures
  • Coordinate with external service providers and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Identify opportunities to streamline daily accounting workflows and help implement efficiency improvements
  • Compile and organize supporting documentation for external audit requests
  • Assist with preparation and submission of recurring tax filings, including sales and use tax
  • Participate in special projects, reporting initiatives, and financial analysis as directed by leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience
  • Experience supporting accounting functions across multiple locations required
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in a collaborative team environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Net Suite experience is advantageous)
  • Exposure to international operations is beneficial
  • Experience working in inventory-based or operationally complex environments is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to recommend process improvements and adapt to evolving priorities
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving and continuously changing business setting
