Role DescriptionThe Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will work full time on‑site at the Quincy, CA office, providing accounting and tax services to a diverse client base. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, researching tax issues, and advising clients on tax planning strategies.
The CPA will analyze financial data, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and produce clear, well‑organized reports for clients. This position collaborates with colleagues to improve internal processes, supports client meetings with financial insights, and maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of tax laws and accounting best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles, including general ledger management and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Demonstrated experience in Tax Preparation for individuals and businesses, including planning and compliance.
- Active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain licensure within a defined timeframe.
- Experience with accounting and tax software, strong Excel skills, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a client‑focused environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in accessible terms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; public accounting or small‑firm experience is highly beneficial.
