Role Overview
LHH is partnering with a growing and innovative organization in the biotech space to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing full-cycle accounts payable, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely within Net Suite
- Perform three-way matching and ensure proper approval workflows are followed
- Manage weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers, and check processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and banking information
- Assist with month-end close activities by preparing AP accruals and reconciliations
- Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries regarding payment status
- Monitor AP aging and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
- Support audits by providing requested AP documentation and schedules
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and company procedures
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience
- Experience using Net Suite required
- Biotech, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or related industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounts payable processes
- Experience processing high-volume invoices and vendor payments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
- Organized, attentive to detail, and strong communication skills
