This position is responsible for providing overall accounting support for assigned business unit(s), including safeguarding company assets and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, corporate reporting, and accounting requirements. This position reports directly to the Controller.

- Support month-end closing activities, as well as internal and external audits.
- Complete timely general ledger reconciliations and maintain supporting records.
- Support the budget process and development of departmental budgets to control costs and identify savings opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation activities of the Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports, including but not limited to weekly metrics, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.
- Prepare capital authorization requests and monitor capital expenditure spending.
- Set up new customers and vendors and perform inventory adjustments.
- Maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, while enhancing the Company's value.
- Identify and analyze favorable and unfavorable purchase price and material variances; prepare corrective actions as required.
- Verify and maintain standard costs.
- Forecast annual and life-of-program variance impacts.
- Forecast future monthly and quarterly margins (Material/OP/EBIT).
- Support the CI Pipeline group by providing cost-benefit analyses.
- Cross-train in all accounting functions to assist and support other staff, including A/R, A/P, and Payroll.
- Work directly with control and process owners to ensure understanding and compliance with SOX processes and procedures.
- Assess the adequacy of SOX internal controls and identify efficiencies in business processes.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of SOX processes and control activities, including narratives, matrices, test scripts, and related documentation.
- Audit and test SOX controls to ensure they are performed as required and in accordance with test scripts, control objectives, and budgeted time allowances. Ensure testing is adequately documented, cross-referenced, and adheres to sample size requirements and internal SOX methodology.
- Work with process owners to ensure SOX documentation is updated as needed.
- Maintain a library of SOX documentation, including narratives, test scripts, and risk matrices.
- Build strong relationships with SOX control and process owners, the IT SOX Internal Control team, Internal Audit, External Auditors, the Internal Control team, and the Compliance Department.
- Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and elimination of non-value-added activities to streamline processes.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance according to work schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution required; equivalent consideration will be given to candidates with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations.
- Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, budgeting, bridges, forecasting, standard cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, collaboration, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively analyze problems and identify solutions.
- Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
