Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing invoices, preparing payments, maintaining accurate accounts payable records, and assisting with vendor communication. This role supports the accounting team by ensuring timely and accurate payment processing and helping maintain organized financial documentation. Based on general knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
+ Review, verify, and process vendor invoices.
+ Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documents.
+ Research and resolve billing discrepancies.
+ Prepare checks, ACH payments, and other approved payment methods.
+ Maintain accurate AP records, files, and reports.
+ Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
+ Reconcile vendor statements and assist with account analysis.
+ Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
+ 1+ year of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred.
+
Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software preferred.
+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
