Staff Accountant
Location: Sausalito / North Bay Area
Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 + discretionary bonus
A well-established Bay Area company is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants broad exposure, a supportive team, and the opportunity to continue learning.
The ideal candidate may have 1+ year of accounting experience, although recent accounting graduates with strong internships, coursework, or related experience are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do- Assist with month-end close and general ledger accounting
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Reconcile cash, revenue, and other financial activity
- Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Work with different departments to ensure accurate financial information
- Help improve accounting processes and procedures
- Support special projects and other areas of the accounting team as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 0-2+ years of accounting experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Comfortable working in Excel and learning new systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions
- Someone who enjoys learning and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Compensation:$70,000 - $80,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus and benefits.
