Compensation
$120/day
DescriptionCommunity Unit School District 308 is seeking substitute secretary candidates to provide clerical support to the assigned District/Building Administrator to cover for employees on leave of absence, vacation, etc.
Education Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a fingerprint based background check
- Written evidence of a physical fitness (physical exam) completed within the last 90 days (may be provided within 30 days of your start date, if not currently available)
- Able to demonstrate mastery in Microsoft Office programs.
- Proficient with basic office equipment including a multi-task telephone, calculators, and copy machines.
- Capable of communicating effectively in a pleasant, composed, and cordial manner with faculty & staff, students, parents and the administration.
District 308 replenishes its substitute secretary pool throughout the school year. Applications will be reviewed and qualified candidates will be contacted for a phone interview on an as‑needed basis. Selected candidates will then complete a personnel file and receive instructions to access the district’s automated substitute management system, Aesop.
