Job Summary
The Fiscal Technical Specialist assigned to the Mono County Clerk-Recorder's Office provides specialized technical, administrative, and customer service support for one of the County's most visible public service departments. This position plays an important role in processing and maintaining official records, assisting the public with Clerk and Recorder services, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of vital County records. Responsibilities may include processing recorded documents, issuing marriage licenses and certified copies of vital records, processing fictitious business name filings and environmental notices, collecting fees, maintaining confidential records, and providing information regarding Clerk-Recorder services while ensuring compliance with California laws and County policies.

The Mono County Clerk-Recorder's Office serves as the official custodian of many of the County's most important public records and provides essential services that residents, businesses, and government agencies rely on every day. The office records and preserves real property documents, processes and maintains birth, death, and marriage records, issues marriage licenses, performs civil marriage ceremonies, processes fictitious business name filings, maintains County contracts and official records, and serves as the filing office for Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Form 700 statements.
