ER Admitting Representative
Mission Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated ER Admitting Representative to join our team in Panorama City, CA. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient admission process in our Emergency Room, providing compassionate support and accurate documentation that facilitates excellent patient care.
Responsibilities- Greet and admit patients arriving at the Emergency Room in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and personal identification, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate timely patient admissions and transfers.
- Maintain patient records and input data into hospital systems with attention to detail.
- Assist patients and families with questions and provide clear directions about the admission process.
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements pertaining to patient admissions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in hospital admissions, patient registration, or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency with computer systems and patient management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain composure under pressure.
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.50 to $25.00.
