Summary:

Supervision:
Receives general supervision from management and exercises no direct supervision over staff. Provides specialized, confidential, and technical administrative support to a Department Director and may support EPASD operations. Independently handles administrative, financial, customer service, records, scheduling, and project-related duties while ensuring compliance with City policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities:
Supports the Director with complex, sensitive, and confidential administrative tasks. Responds to public inquiries, complaints, and service requests and directs them to appropriate staff. Assists with budgets, purchasing, invoices, payments, accounts receivable/payable, and financial records. Prepares reports, correspondence, contracts, forms, agendas, and other official documents. Coordinates meetings, calendars, travel, events, trainings, and special projects. Maintains accurate records and files and processes public records requests.

Reviews documents for completeness and compliance with policies and regulations. Provides professional customer service to the public, vendors, contractors, and City staff. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge &

Skills:

Modern office administration, recordkeeping, bookkeeping, and customer service practices. Basic accounting, budgeting, purchasing, and business mathematics. Applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Microsoft Office and other standard computer systems. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, confidentiality, and independent judgment.

Education & Experience:

High school graduation plus specialized coursework in typing, bookkeeping, or a related field, and five years of progressively responsible office support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. License:
Valid California Driver’s License, or ability to obtain one by appointment, with a satisfactory driving record.
