Jim Vreeland Ford is seeking a detailed, experienced Mainline Automotive Technician to provide exceptional service to our customers.

Job Summary

In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain various vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive service, contributing to a positive customer experience through quality workmanship.

Our service department is growing, and we are looking for someone with at least 5+ years of experience as a mainline technician. Diesel and/or transmission diagnostic experience is highly desirable. ASE and/or Brand Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes
• Assist with establishing service procedures, tracking repair status, and maintaining technical documentation
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business
• Communicate repair information clearly to customers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree or completion of automotive technician training preferred
• ASE or SAE certification preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills required
