Location: Mount Shasta

O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable automotive repair company to find their next Automotive Mechanic. This position is based in Mount Shasta, CA.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, mechanically inclined, and experienced in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This individual should possess strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Automotive Mechanic Compensation
  • $20.00 - $34.00 per hour DOE
  • Vision, dental, and medical insurance offered through O2

Automotive Mechanic Qualifications
  • Previous automotive repair and maintenance experience required
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle issues
  • Knowledge of automotive systems including brakes, suspension, steering, engines, and drive trains
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment and hand tools
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ASE certifications preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties in a shop environment
Automotive Mechanic Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles
  • Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical or safety concerns
  • Complete preventative maintenance services including oil changes, tune-ups, and fluid services
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot vehicle issues
  • Test drive vehicles as necessary to verify repairs and diagnose concerns
  • Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation

    Communicate repair recommendations and findings professionally
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
