Area Manager II; Fulfillment & Operations

Overview

Area Manager role within Amazon WW Operations. You will lead a team of hourly workforce, engage your team during shifts to maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance, and help ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time to the right location.

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures (delivery stations may include outside loading areas)
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees
• Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field
• Industry experience in retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments

Compensation and Benefits
:
The base salary range varies by location. The package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
