- Maintain an obsessive focus on customers, competitors, and evolving market dynamics to identify opportunities early and inform product and portfolio decisions.
- Develop and manage product and portfolio strategies that support company growth objectives.
- Identify, size, and prioritize opportunities using customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, operational feasibility, and financial potential.
- Build product roadmaps and recommend where to invest, optimize, expand, simplify, or discontinue.
- Lead product initiatives from concept through commercialization, launch, and performance follow‑up.
- Define product requirements, value propositions, target customers, pricing considerations, and launch objectives.
- Partner with R&D, Operations, Commercialization, and other stakeholders to ensure products are feasible, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment on priorities, timelines, risks, trade‑offs, and key decisions.
- Ensure products are sales‑ready with clear positioning, customer value propositions, pricing rationale, sales tools, launch materials, and customer‑facing support.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop and refine customer presentations, sales stories, training materials, and selling tools.
- Participate in key customer meetings, sales calls, and commercialization discussions as needed to support adoption and remove barriers to success.
- Gather feedback from customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to improve product positioning, messaging, and support materials.
- Serve as the product expert for internal teams and customer‑facing discussions.
- Monitor product, category, and portfolio performance through sales, margin, velocity, distribution, SKU productivity, and other key metrics.
- Track post‑launch performance against revenue, margin, distribution, customer adoption, and strategic objectives.
- Develop business cases, dashboards, and recommendations that improve performance and guide decision‑making.
- Recommend and drive corrective actions when initiatives are not delivering expected results.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, innovation, simplification, or expansion based on data, market insights, and business priorities.
