Position Overview

The Site Superintendent is a hands-on, project-based field role responsible for the daily execution of residential construction projects. This position spends the majority of time actively engaged on jobsites, coordinating trades, managing sequencing, and supporting construction progress from mobilization through close-out.

This is not a purely supervisory or desk-based role. The Superintendent is directly involved in day-to-day field activities and plays a critical role in delivering work that is chargeable to individual projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, this role ensures scopes are executed correctly, schedules are maintained, and jobsites operate efficiently, safely, and professionally.

This position is ideal for a field-driven professional who prefers being embedded in the build, takes ownership of jobsite outcomes, and adds value through active participation in project delivery rather than people management.

Key Responsibilities Jobsite Execution & Field Support
  • Actively manage day-to-day jobsite execution from mobilization through close-out
  • Coordinate subcontractor work in the field to ensure scopes are completed per plans, schedule, and quality standards
  • Perform pre-work site walks and proactively identify sequencing issues, scope gaps, or constructability concerns
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites through consistent on-site presence and hands-on involvement
  • Support schedule updates and progress tracking through real-time field input in coordination with the Project Manager
  • Assist with material coordination, site readiness, inspections, and finish sequencing as needed
Trade Coordination & Communication
  • Serve as a primary on-site point of coordination for subcontractors and vendors during active construction
  • Communicate daily jobsite conditions, progress, and constraints to the Project Manager
  • Support client-facing communication related to site activity, access, and short-term scheduling—especially on occupied projects
  • Participate in weekly production meetings, contributing field-based insights that support planning and execution
Close-Out, Warranty & Project Completion
  • Actively support punch-list completion and final quality walkthroughs

    Coordinate on-site warranty work and follow-through post-completion
  • Maintain accurate daily jobsite documentation, logs, and reporting tied directly to project activity
Professional & Operational Standards
  • Represent Wilson Construction Co. professionally through consistent field presence and workmanship standards
  • Follow and enforce company safety policies through active participation on site
  • Maintain organized jobsite records, tools, and materials to support efficient project execution
  • Assist with yard, equipment, and fleet organization as needed to support field operations
What We're Looking For
  • 2-5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent or senior field leader in residential construction
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor coordination, sequencing, and quality control
  • Ability to read plans, understand scopes, and proactively solve problems in the field
  • Clear, confident communicator who works well with PMs, trades, and homeowners

Organized, accountable, and consistent in execution
  • Comfortable working on both occupied and unoccupied residential projects
What Success Looks Like
  • Jobsites are clean, safe, and well-organized
  • Subcontractors are coordinated, informed, and held to scope and schedule
  • Project Managers have confidence in field execution and reporting
  • Clients feel informed and respected throughout construction
  • Projects close out smoothly with minimal punch-list and warranty issues
Why Wilson Construction Co.
  • Clear expectations and strong operational structure
  • Projects that value craftsmanship and professionalism
  • Leadership that respects the field and supports its superintendents
  • Opportunity to play a critical role in project success from start to finish

Interested candidates should apply with a resume highlighting relevant residential construction experience.
