Concrete and Asphalt Maintenance Foreman

We are currently looking for dedicated and hard-working individuals with 5 or more years of experience to join our team as a Concrete and Asphalt Maintenance Foreman for a full-time, year-round position. We provide a fun work atmosphere, with a team-oriented, positive attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and manage asphalt paving, concrete, and seal coating teams.
• Participate in all phases of construction, coordination, and delegation for projects.
• Set expectations for the team regarding safety, quality, production rate, and housekeeping for each job.
• Hold daily tailgate safety meetings with the crew and conduct safety meetings weekly.
• Minimize the number of go-backs or project fixes do it right the first time!
• Set work priorities and schedule crew for projects daily based on the scope of work.
• Read specifications, such as blueprints to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
• Review project details to ensure that proper materials, tools, and equipment are brought to each job.
• Locate, measure, and mark site locations and/or placement of structures, and equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
• Report daily information such as personnel, production, and operational data.
• Assist workers engaged in construction, using hand tools and/or other equipment.
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify specifications are being met.

Skills and Abilities

:

• Follow applicable safety guidelines.
• Knowledge and methods, techniques, and equipment used in Asphalt, concrete, and seal coating operations.
• Load materials, tools, and equipment on the company truck for each job.
• Travel to and from office and job sites.
• Position requires long periods of stooping bending, standing, and lifting.
• Operate concrete saw, finisher, bull float, trowel, etc.

License/Certification:

• Driver's License

Qualifications:

• 7 to 15 years of experience in asphalt paving, concrete, and seal coating operations.
• Must have experience and knowledge in operating a skid steer, mini excavator, paver, roller, and dump truck.
• Must have experience leading, coaching, and managing teams/crews.
• Must be able to travel to and from office and job sites.
• Able to work independently under written direction.
• Able to pour multiple types of curbs.
• Able to work under active road scenarios.
• Versed in Maintenance of traffic operations.
• Spanish is a plus.
• A valid drivers license to drive a company vehicle must have a clean driving record.
