Nimble Construction Services, located in Redwood City, CA, is looking for a Field Project Manager – Residential & Commercial Remodeling to join our growing team.
Location:
Redwood City, CA (primarily serving Redwood City, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, and surrounding Peninsula areas, with occasional travel throughout the Bay Area)

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Field Project Manager to oversee residential remodeling and commercial tenant improvement projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow with a fast‑paced construction company and gain valuable hands‑on experience managing a wide variety of projects.
The ideal candidate has strong technical construction knowledge, understands field operations, communicates effectively, and can successfully coordinate projects from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage day‑to‑day field operations for residential remodeling and commercial tenant improvement projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, inspections, and project schedules.
- Monitor job progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
- Communicate regularly with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Perform site walks, identify issues, and proactively resolve field challenges.
- Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and photo documentation using a phone or tablet.
- Assist with estimating, project planning, scheduling, and procurement when needed.
- Travel between multiple job sites throughout the Peninsula, with occasional travel to other Bay Area locations.
- 2–5 years of direct construction experience in residential remodeling, commercial construction, or tenant improvement projects.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred, or equivalent construction experience.
- Strong technical understanding of construction methods, sequencing, materials, and building practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Fluent in English (required). Spanish is a plus.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and construction software for reporting and documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Professional, organized, punctual, and safety‑oriented.
- Ability to pass a background check (last 10 years).
- Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of Redwood City.
- Willing to work overtime or weekends when project schedules require.
- Existing network of reliable, legally authorized construction workers, subcontractors, or licensed contractors is a strong plus.
- References required.
