Tribal Governments and Enterprises, Public Agencies Position Summary The Laborer III position is an advanced construction field role responsible for performing skilled labor, supporting equipment operations, coordinating daily field tasks, assisting Foremen and Superintendents, and helping maintain safe, organized, and productive jobsite operations. This position is intended for an experienced construction professional with at least 10 years of construction experience and a strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, equipment, safety practices, and jobsite expectations.

A Laborer III works with limited day-to-day direction on routine tasks, supports less experienced crew members, and serves as a reliable senior field resource for assigned projects. The role requires strong attendance, sound judgment, safe work habits, practical problem-solving ability, and respectful communication with coworkers, supervisors, clients, inspectors, community members, and project partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform advanced construction labor and field support tasks as assigned by Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, or Supervisors.
• Support site preparation, excavation, grading, trenching, backfill, compaction, concrete work, utility work, material handling, cleanup, and other construction activities.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, small equipment, and construction equipment safely and effectively when authorized and trained.
• Assist with or operate equipment such as skid steers, compact excavators, compactors, saws, pumps, trenching equipment, and similar tools or equipment as authorized.
• Drive company vehicles, including pickup trucks and single-axle dump trucks with or without trailers, when authorized and properly licensed.
• Assist with layout, measurement, grades, quantities, material staging, site logistics, and basic field documentation as directed.
• Load, unload, transport, stage, and organize materials, tools, equipment, signs, barriers, and jobsite supplies.
• Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and minor repairs on vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials as directed.
• Maintain proper care, operation, storage, and security of equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, and other company or client assets.
• Support job site traffic control, pedestrian control, access control, erosion control, environmental protection, and site housekeeping as directed.
• Assist with daily reports, photos, as-built information, material tickets, equipment checks, and other field records when requested.
• Identify and communicate field issues, unsafe conditions, material shortages, equipment concerns, utility conflicts, or quality issues promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
• Support inspections, testing, punch-list work, corrective work, and project closeout activities.
• Guide, support, and mentor less experienced laborers and crew members in safe work practices, proper tool use, field procedures, and company expectations.
