Senior Estimator | Sylmar, CA | $100,000 - $125,000
Our client, a well-established commercial landscaping and irrigation contractor serving Southern California, is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating process for large-scale landscape construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Develop conceptual budgets through final bid estimates across all stages of design.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals and RFP responses.
- Assess project risks, logistics, and technical requirements during preconstruction.
- Collaborate with clients, operations teams, and project managers to ensure successful project transitions.
Qualifications
- Experience estimating commercial or public-sector landscape projects.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating and project documentation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Compensation
- $100,000 - $125,000 annually, DOE
- Full-time position
- Based in Sylmar with projects throughout Southern California
