We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Permanent Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our vibrant team. This role requires a dynamic professional who can liaise with various stakeholders, manage on-site construction activities, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Construction Superintendent in coordinating all site construction activities and supervising all field personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Construction Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site functions including scheduling, material control, and day-to-day direction of field personnel.
  • Ensure that all construction work is carried out according to standards, regulations, and building codes.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and key team members of the project team.
  • Assist in the management of project schedule, identifying and solving problems.
  • Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards.
  • Manage workflow, ensuring that each phase of construction is on schedule.
  • Assist in the preparation of project status reports and ensure project schedules and budgets are met.
  • Provide leadership and direction to construction personnel.
Job Details
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Construction Superintendent role or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in managing construction schedules, coordinating work activities, and managing teams.
  • Proficient in Procore or equivalent construction management software.
  • A strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a diverse team of personnel.
  • Exceptional time management and project organization skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in OSHA training and First Aid are a plus.
  • Must be able to physically navigate construction job site terrain and climb ladders. f Project Management experience in commercial or multifamily construction.
  • Proven experience managing ground-up multifamily residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgeting, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Current OSHA 10 Certification (Required).
