About the Role

Our client, a burgeoning film production company based in Welkom , is seeking a skilled and passionate Film Editor to join their creative team. You will be responsible for assembling raw footage into compelling narratives, working closely with directors and producers to achieve the desired artistic vision. This role demands a keen eye for pacing, storytelling, and technical proficiency in editing software.

• Edit raw video footage into cohesive and engaging narratives according to director's vision and script requirements.
• Select appropriate shots, scenes, and sound to create optimal pacing and emotional impact.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and sound designers throughout the post-production process.
• Incorporate visual effects, graphics, and sound elements to enhance the final film.
• Ensure technical quality and consistency of the final edit, conforming to broadcast or distribution standards.
• Manage and organize project files, assets, and backups efficiently.

• Proven experience as a Film Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing narrative and documentary work.
• Proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
• Solid understanding of storytelling techniques, pacing, and rhythm in filmmaking.
• Experience with color correction, sound mixing, and basic VFX integration.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a production team.
