Overview
Transdev in San Francisco, CA is hiring a Dispatch Clerk to oversee road service through communication with Operators and provide customer support to clients. We are seeking friendly, customer service‑oriented people dedicated to safety.
Position subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement. Starting pay $22.25 progressing to $23.00 over 1 year.

- Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route timing, incidents, etc.
- Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
- Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
- Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of policies and procedures.
- Meet or exceed established performance requirements.
- Document trip authorizations, including transportation type, pickup times, appointment times, and addresses.
- Follow company rules, regulations, and instructions of management and supervisors.
- Adhere to regulations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Maintain confidentiality of passengers’ information.
- Maintain a clean and well‑organized work area.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to operate a standard telephone system.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical per applicable regulations.
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
- Work largely indoors and in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities.
- Work in an office or cubicle equipped with a telephone and computer.
- Spend long periods sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
